2026 Annual Holiday Celebration

Annual Holiday Celebration: A Night of Service, Fellowship, and Holiday Cheer

Our Kiwanis Club gathered on Tuesday, December 2nd at the beautiful Virginia Country Club for our annual holiday party, creating another memorable evening of fellowship, service, and holiday spirit.

Evening of Giving and Community Spirit

The celebration began at 4:30 PM with members arriving early to wrap gifts for our adopted Christmas families. The room buzzed with conversation and laughter as dedicated volunteers worked together, transforming gifts into beautifully wrapped packages that will bring joy to local families in need. This meaningful activity set the perfect tone for our evening of giving and community spirit.

Following our productive gift wrapping session, members gathered in the clubhouse dining room at 6:00 PM for a delicious catered dinner. The warm, elegant atmosphere of the country club provided the ideal setting for both current and former members to reconnect and share stories, strengthening the bonds that make our Kiwanis family so special.

Holiday Gift Exchange Brings Laughter and Competition

The evening’s highlight was our beloved holiday gift exchange tradition. Members brought wrapped gifts valued at $30 to participate in this spirited activity that brought out everyone’s competitive spirit and filled the room with good-natured laughter as popular gifts changed hands throughout the evening. The playful “stealing” and strategic exchanges created exactly the kind of joyful chaos that has made this tradition a cherished part of our annual celebration.

Celebrating Our Commitment to Community

This annual gathering proved once again to be more than just a holiday party – it was a true celebration of our club’s commitment to service, fellowship, and community spirit. The evening offered a wonderful opportunity for longtime members and newer Kiwanis family members to connect while contributing to our ongoing mission of helping families in our community.

The success of our December 2nd celebration at Virginia Country Club reinforced our tradition of giving back to the community that means so much to us all, creating lasting memories as we celebrated the holiday season together.
